Hands down best seafood in Palm Beach!! So happy to be back here. We love the lobster mac and cheese. It's a must to order when you go there. We usually eat at the bar and enjoy the company of the bartender upstairs, Tommy.

Wife and I had dinner Monday 9/14. Not busy. Relaxed atmosphere. We are outside on the waterway. Service was not as fast as most but we did not feel rushed to eat and leave at all. Waitress was friendly. Had mussels that were very good with a flavorful sauce. Then we had the salmon and the Prime Mac-n-cheese which has lobster and shrimp. About 6 shrimp and quite a few sizable lobsters chunks. Very tasty and exactly what I wanted since I don't get this very often. Had some coconut pie which was outstanding. Wish they had expresso or cappuccino instead of only regular coffee. They don't have much parking but have free valet or do as we did and park a little farther away where there aren't any "NoPrime" signs. It's a big lot. We enjoyed it and would go back.

Overpriced and under-delivered. Overall dining experience underwhelming. $27 for a swordfish fillet the size of a cocktail napkin and barley thicker than an iPhone 4. Plate proportionality is quite awkward for some of the fish, almost as if the entrees are served tapas-style. Weird pricing on their wine list, especially large discrepancies between glasses, half-bottles, and bottles. Sautéed mushrooms were neither sautéed nor tasted like mushrooms. The reason I gave this place 2 stars over 1 is there excellent location, and good raw oysters. But overall, there are many better restaurants in this area.

I would give food a 4 and arrive a 2! Food is always consistent. Not the best, not the worst. But service went down big time over the years.

Nothing special nothing offensive. Great bread basket - love hate that detail. Fair priced cocktails. Bourbon old fashioned - $6.50 I usually get the lobster blt salad. It's good. Not great. Grandpa likes the scallops. It's hard to mess up scallops. Service is decent , valet is free and easy. It's Boynton Beach , not that serious. I've been there 10 times , will be back.

Wasn't sure about other reviews however decided to go anyway. They have very creative food. Loved the lobster popcorn. We were seated upstairs so it was quiet and had great views.

Went for brunch today. The waterway views are great. We sat at the bar and the service was ok. I got a Bloody Mary and was not impressed. It comes in a small glass and you almost have to take the celery out to sip. I got the steak and eggs, which was great. I demolished the whole plate. It would have been nice to get toast with it ... But overall it was good. The potatoes were not what I expected, but they were tasty.

Have visited Prime Catch 3 times on the last six weeks Each tine the service has slipped some dishes served cold etc ...Now their inability to get food to the table in a warm and timely fashion can only be described as totally unacceptable. STAY AWAY Last night party of six.- Restaurant was not full. From seating (on time) to taking drink order and drink service 35 min!!! Orders taken. Appitiziers servered intermittently over 30 min all were served cold. A wait of more than a half hour for main courses. AGAIN All arrived cold. Reheated fish could have been used to re-sole my shoes.. Do Not order the Prime Mixed Grill. I specifically asked the waiter to ask the kitchen not to over grill. I was served Ed a cold charred lobster tail, rock hard cold shrimp and scallops.

I had yellowtail snapper with champagne butter and a stuffed potato $29.95. Skin still on fish with plenty of the gray matter. Tasty but I had to de-skin. Stuffed potato was only half a potato and only half twice baked. Had to add a little side salad. Husband had Mixed grill $33. Lobster tail shrimp and scallop. Small tail, think prawn size, 2 large shrimp and 2 scallops with asparagus and fries. Lobster had to be pried out and a lot was still stuck in there. Also had to add a salad. Lastly, under cooked fries.

Go for the food, service and view. We celebrated Valentines Day 2015 at Prime Catch and it was wonderful. My favorite dish is the Pecan And Sweet Potato encrusted Grouper it's a feast for you tastebuds. The Location on the waterway is amazing and no matter what time of year they make it comfortable. In the winter or what we in Florida call the four days it's cold they have heaters and roll down the clear vinyl shades and in summer the fans are going and you get a breeze since they are on the water. Outside is where I prefer to sit though inside is nicely furnished and has a great full bar. The staff are knowledgable of the menu and specials and friendly DNS attentive to your needs. They have a Sunset Special and is a great choice for a special occasion. They offer buffet and will prepare a special menu if reserving for a group such as for a shower pre wedding dinner etc. Valet is always convenient and helpful though there is plenty of parking. The food is always fresh and they buy locally which is an added plus.

Pulling in here I wasn't to sure about the place because it's at the end of this plaza. But honestly it was Perfect. Everything about this place is great. I came here with a date for lunch. My waiter was very nice and sweet. The view is amazing. You can see the boats passing by. It wasn't that busy so it was easy for us to get a table. For Appetizers we had fried calamari. It was nice and tender and fresh, also a great portion of it too Lunch. I had the crab cakes, very nice and juicy. With veggies. I could care less about the sauce it came with, but other than that it was perfect. The presentation was spot on and nice My date had the snapper fish. With jasmine rice. AMAZING. I had a little bit of it. The fish was falling off my fork The bread basket was warm and flavorful. Wonderful place !

Great seafood with local options, good prices for lobsters too. Full bar with fun cocktails (but pricey, and the process are not listed on the menu), excellent service. Get the oysters even if you're not a fan, they are top notch here. Ideal date place.

Hands down one of the best restaurants in the area! The portions are huge, the quality is amazing, the ambiance is really nice as well. When I don't feel like dealing with the crowds of Atlantic Ave I love going to this place.

I went to Prime Catch for dinner last weekend with a group of 2 other couples. When I read one of the reviews regarding the age of the diners, I laughed because it was true. Definitely an older crowd. The night was a little chilly so the plastic shades were down, obscuring the water view we went there for. The service was very slow, it took forever to get our drinks, and another eternity for the busy waitress to return to take our orders. I ordered the salmon over quinoa and kale. I asked that the salmon be cooked to med/rare, but the waitress said that meant a raw center, so I reluctantly said OK med, or whatever way to cook salmon so it isn't over cooked and dry. After she took our orders, another century passed and we were finally served our food. My first observation was that the portions were very small for their ridiculously high prices, and wouldn't you know, my salmon wasn't under cooked, but very over done. I actually had to cut it with a knife. I certainly would have sent it back, but I was starving and was sick of waiting. It irked me to spend $24 for a small piece of dried salmon. But, what ever was under it did taste good. (Quinoa and kale) If the seafood wasn't over cooked I would have given another star. My friends all agreed the prices were too high, the portions too small and the service too slow. No wonder the majority of the patrons are in their 80's....it had me thinking if they went to the restaurant in their 60's... it might have taken that long for them to eat their meal. I won't be going back there....once was enough. Not a BAD restaurant, not bad food, but nothing special. No reason to go through that again.

Just a note to customers. Make sure u don't leave any personal items behind because the staff is not to be trusted. We accidentally left a pair of every nice sunglasses behind (we have a photo) and they were never turned it to the front desk. Shameful. We were on vacation but if we ever go back this place is off limits for us. Shame on u! Diane from California via New York!

Came for a family birthday dinner. I was reluctant to eat here because of the mixed reviews but my fears were unfounded. The food was very good & the service was excellent. Their menu is regularly pricey but we lucked out because the restaurant was having a special "end of season" party. I shared the muscle appetizer with my husband--it was excellent. I chose the trout fillet with rice--very good! All of the food was served hot and our waitress Vanessa did an excellent job.

2.5 No matter how nice this place looks inside, no matter the beautiful weather outside, the boats passing by, Prime Catch will always feel like a funeral home to me. The only thing missing is Claire, David and Nate Fisher. I've been here a few times because it's one of the only waterfront restaurants in the area that serves up decent food. The fish, obviously, is good here. Salmon, mahi, grouper, all delightful lunch options. Their French onion soup is pretty good too. I don't know if I'm necessarily coming here with people who still have a pulse, but for the grandparents this place is great. Prices are a bit high but considering it's probably one of the last nice meals your great great grandparents will have here, it'll be worth it. I felt like Steve Gutenberg in Cocoon here the entire time.

Went with a party of 11 and everyones meals was very good. The elevator did not work when we first arrived which was a big problem with our group of grandparents and older relatives, and they could not accommodate us downstairs. Also our waitress could have done better. Overall, great restaurant and would recommend.

  • Harry W.

No problem with the 45 minute wait to get a table as it's tourist season. The 40 minute wait for our food, with no sign of our waitress was a bit underwhelming. We all ordered seafood which was okay, but nothing special. Portions were small and prices seemed a bit high for the average quality of the food and poor service. May give them another chance as prior visits were much better, and there really aren't a lot of decent restaurants in Boynton.

The view is great and the restaurant is really beautiful. The food.....for get about it. We went for Easter dinner today. They did not have a nice Easter dinner menu....more brunch lunch type. Not given much choice, I had the lobster roll......terrible. Panera has a get one when it is available but this was tough and did not taste good at all. Needless to say very disappointed. My husband had Cod which he said was good but all that came with it was some crunchy vegetable straws. The only reason it has two stars if for the view and decor. Not sure if I will go back again.

Food was just ok, way too expensive and very small portions, not as good as it used to be, except for the French onion soup, would only go back for that

Honestly over this place, they seriously never get anything right, I'm surprised they can even shuck their own oysters! The decor is so outdated! It's a shame because it's in such a perfect location

My 84 year old gramma and her friend had Thanksgiving Dinner at Prime Catch. Maybe the name should give you a clue that a fish restaurant should not be serving Turkey, They made several comments to their waiter and the hostess as they left that the food was very dry and not good at all and the staff just laughed. After calling the manager Sandy and telling her what happened, she said my gramma should have said something when she was there. I told her that my gramma is not the type to complain and make a scene like a lot of older people do. She asked me to have my gramma call her and my she did. She was not very apologetic and said the next time you come in you need to say something before you leave. My gramma said there will not be a next time. It wasn't like we were asking for a refund when I called. I just wanted to let them know that their patrons were not happy. She could have apologized to my gramma and offered a free dinner or dessert or a drink to entice them to come back but she seemed to care less. It is just sad when a manager cannot be kind to the elderly. My gramma has her wits about her and has been in the restaurant business all her life so she knows what good food especially turkey on Thanksgivng is suppose to taste like. Sorry for you Sandy and your policy of talking to a manager before you leave. Your staff should have been smart enough to pick up the cues they were giving when they said they did not want to take the leftovers home but wished they had a dog to give it to.

So we came in for a few drinks and quick snack before we headed to the reception. Service was great, seafood was fresh. If you like fresh raw seafood like mussels and clams, get the sampler. Place is located right on the water with an outdoor patio. Place is tucked away in a shopping center so look for the blue roof.

Our party of 6 went here last night for dinner, the food was excellent..We ordered the grilled octopus, shrimp cocktail and raw clams appetizers..For our main courses, we had, sweet potato encrusted grouper, bouillabaisse, and lobsters..Dessert; we shared coconut pie, very yummy...Everything was great!,,..We left very happy with full bellies..

Great mother's day celebration on the water. Place was crazy-busy but the food was really satisfying. I recommend sticking with local fish, e.g., Yellowtail. Nice place for taking out company, a special occasion, or sharing a meal with friends and family. MAKE A RESERVATION, people!

This is a lovely restaurant and we had a wonderful time here. We came for an early bird special and were seated at a comfortable table with a terrific view of the water. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The bread basket was good and the French onion soup was outstanding. Our entrees were delicious: the prime rib was nicely done, lobster bake was great, pecan crusted trout and coconut crusted corvina were incredible. Can't wait to go back!

I'd give this place a 3.5 stars. The service was HORRIBLE. The food was pretty good. We sat for FORTY MINUTES before our waitress came to take our order. We complained TWICE before she finally showed up. We ordered oysters, but they never materialized. We did eat: Maine lobster BLT salad, which was good, not great. Swordfish was good and the pecan crusted rainbow trout was good as well. The prime mac and cheese with lobster and seafood was really good as well but too big a portion. They offered us free desserts since the service was so bad and we had an ice cream sundae and chocolate torte which were both good. Probably wouldn't go again since the service was awful and the food was just a bit better than good.

Eight of us came to the restaurant expecting a great meal. We were served eight horrible meals. After waiting 45 minutes from the time we finished our appetizers, we were served cold meals. The place was extremely understaffed, and the upstairs manager really wasn't concerned about our meals. She took $47 dollars off of a $600 dollar bill....wtf??? We will never go back as she really didn't care what the food tasted like. Too many good restaurants in this area to waste time at Prime Catch.

Restaurant is pleasant with spectacular views. Food was mediocre and prices were not commensurate with the quality of the food. An order of King Crab Legs, which was $39, was not succulent or moist and tasted as though it had been frozen for too long. Although all King crab legs are frozen, these were not good. A raw oyster appetizer was adequate, not great. An appetizer of baked clams was all bread crumbs, no clams. The twin lobster were good. There were no specials, just the menu items and a list of lobster at different weights and prices...no bargain. Last , let me mention the service...slow and very unfriendly. We waited for our orders...and waited... Our waitress was so surly that I hope the Management gives her anti-depressants before her next shift.

Disappointing ! Overpriced and just NOT good. Go anywhere but here! They charged us $3:95 for a side of French fires that came in a miniature fry basket??? Ridiculous! When I asked to speak to a manager, she was sitting in a corner table eating- when I expressed my disappointment at the price and portion- she seemed disinterested . Besides the price they were barely cooked! I had sandy scallops which were barely warm, I thought they were raw! They were brought back in the kitchen and reheated ! At that point I was already checked out of the whole Prime Catch experience. Not to mention the stomach aches we all experienced on the way home and the following day! - never again!

Ok no doubt that walking into this place is place teleports you back to the seventies. Too boot you will definitely be surrounded by Team Metamucil as the average age at any given time is on life support. But honestly I could care less about all that....I am a man about the meal. As far as that goes...it's edible food. About all I can say. It's C-grade food with C-grade service in Zzzzz-grade atmosphere. Granted we sat inside and I am sure the view outside on the patio is breathtaking...but if I wanted views I'd go to a park.

Food was a 7, server was a 9, but the hostesses were a 2. Amazing how a 30 second interaction with the hostess stand can ruin the entire experience. Note to management - hostess is your first impression, and it's a very important job.

The ONLY reason why this place has three stars instead of 1 or 2 is because of the friendly waiter. He was attentive and incredibly nice. Aside from that, the food doesn't look very fresh from a place thats right by the ocean. The menu is a bit off. Korean Pork Tacos? Really? Prime Catch is serving Korean Pork Tacos. So strange! Take that off the menu and keep it all seafood. Its like going to a Japanese restaurant and they have Italian food on their menu.

I prefer prime catch for lunch. Dinner in the season is overcrowded with seniors. Also if docking you boat be very careful at low tide, theres only 2 feet of Water. Decor stinks. Hostesses in the evening can be rude.

I was in Florida visiting some family and wanted to go some place new my last night in town. I thought, "Hey, I live in a landlocked state. Let me get some seafood while I'm still near the coast!" My grandfather had heard through the grapevine that Prime Catch was pretty awesome, so we decided to try it out. Awesome? Indeed. We got ourselves a spot outside on the back deck, with a great view of the water and a nice ocean breeze to keep things cool. It was difficult to decide what to order because everything on the menu sounded amazing. I finally settled upon the bouillabaisse because...of course I did. I wanted to try a little of everything. Others at the table ordered both types of calimari, the mussels, the fish and chips, the onion soup, and the clam chowder. Everything was top notch: super fresh seafood, wonderful flavors, and great service. It's a bit spendy, but it's seafood. I'll definitely be heading back here the next time I'm in town.

My husband and I met friends for dinner here and had a wonderful time. The staff was very accomodating. The place is immaculate, and you can sit out on the water if you like. Our table had various dishes including, scallops, mahi mahi, grouper, lobster mac and cheese, porterhouse porkchop, and a steak. All of it was super fresh and delicious. The parking situation is kind of screwy, but you can choose to use the valet. It's a little pricey, but great for a special night out.

The number of fish restaurants in this area is quite limited, but Prime Catch is one that has a nice view of the Intracoastal and one we had liked before. Indeed, we'd been there a number of times and made it our restaurant of choice when fish was the chosen cuisine. But on this occasion it was a huge disappointment and as we thought about our earlier visits we realized that this was seemingly a continuation of a slide downward. The waitress we had (who did not give her name, curiously) was pleasant but did not come by to refill water glasses or explain why we had passed the 30-minute mark waiting for our main courses. I got up and talked with the manager (a middle-aged woman whose name I also never learned) who said that our service was slow because we'd had appetizers. That was her explanation. When our food finally arrived, it was not hot -- and the pieces of mahi mahi were small, smaller than I have seen them before. We all agreed we'd give Prime Catch a rest, perhaps for a year or so, to see if they sharpen their skills. For now, it's not on our list of good restaurants.

If I went by the review I had read yesterday I would have NOT gone here for my birthday dinner with my dad. he loves Prime Catch. I am sooo glad I went. The bad reviews must have been written for some hard to please whiners. My pan seared Tuna was perfect, the hostess friendly and our waitress, Chelsea, deserves 10 stars! Everyone around me looked like they were having a great meal and a great time!

I would avoid this place - the service leaves a lot to be desired and the blonde woman (60ish) who showed us to the table was downright obnoxious. She acted like she was doing us a favor by seating us, left us midway through showing us to the table so that she could converse with someone, and, the nail in the coffin: I let her know we were celebrating a birthday in our group and she said nothing. Put the menus on the table and walked away. I will never be back.

Had an enjoyable dinner at Prime Catch. Most dishes were fantastic. Mine, however, had a lobster tail featured (prime mixed grill) that on consumption had an overwhelming ammonia taste to it, which concerned me. Notified server so hopefully this will be checked by the team.

We made reservations at Prime Catch for Easter Brunch after reviewing a short list of Palm Beach area brunch options on pbpulse.com . We lucked out and were seated outside on the intracoastal even though my husband was told they were booked outside and we'd be seated inside (when he made the reservations). That was a big plus! People were walking in and expecting to get seated without reservations, but the place was packed. Those peeps must have forgotten it was Easter??? Service was attentive, food was good (albeit pricey as others have mentioned -- but it's seafood -- seafood is pricey in general!), as were the drinks. I consumed the Cuban Mojito and WOW did that hit the spot. The seafood crepes were tasty and fresh, and my husband really enjoyed the Key West Eggs Benedict. Two entrees, two appetizers, and one cocktail amounted to $60 including the tip. Weather was exceptionally nice, and together with the food and service, Prime Catch really proved itself to be the perfect Easter Brunch spot for us.

Elderly white people eating pricey seafood that's mediocre in taste. There's not really much else to say about Prime Catch. Yes, they have a nice view of the Intracoastal. Yes, their seafood is probably fresh. Yet, overall none of the appetizers I had, my entree, or my desert was stellar. Luckily, I was not footing the bill. Would I tell my grandfather not to take me here in the future? Probably not. Would I choose to come here of my own volition? Probably not. But if you are an elderly white person in the area with money to burn, then by all means, get caught.

I must say we were a party of 8 Seated outside by the water. I was pleasantly surprised at the ambiance. We had no complaints and the food was very good . The lobster was tender and the escargo was outstanding. We were seated by 5:30 and were given the early bird menus. We saved about 10$ an entree. But beware they tack on 3:50 for a Caesar salad although it can be shared.

I decided to spend my b'day this past July at this restaurant. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Even though the lobster was supposed to be a 1lb and a quarter, to me it was just a pound. We lucked out that the lobster meat was sweet otherwise for the size I'd be pretty pissed. They also don't give you much on sides during lunch. We ordered a Caesar salad...it was just ok. My dessert was delicious though....blueberry and apple cobblers in separate dishes with whipped cream. The waitress was nice but she wasn't the original one we started out with and she seemed bothered that she had to take over our table. I haven't been here in awhile and doubt if I'll run back. In my opinion this restaurant needs to renovate badly.

I've been here a lot over the years, always w/my parents- and I felt much like the other reviewers on previous visits, sort of lukewarm about the place- but the other night, we were really impressed. In fact, if I were only basing the review on our most recent visit, it'd be 5 stars. The location is beautiful, on the water- the indoor dining area is lovely (both upstairs and down) lots of dark wood and white tile- and if you'd prefer, the bar is cozy, they have a decent wine selection and it's a good pour. Our server was really friendly, helpful and attentive. She was always there when we needed a drink, or a lobster bib. Now for the food- it can be a little pricey but at least here, you get what you pay for. We started off with onion soup, clam chowder and some stone crabs. All items were delicious and arrived promptly and to temperature. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they had a great lobster special (1 1/4 lb for 15 w/salad/starch), so it was lobster all around. All four of us were really pleased- nice sized steamed lobsters w/drawn butter, crisp fresh salads (go for the stilton special!) and a variety of sides, (green beans, mashed and au gratin) again, all delicious. All in all, it's the best place in Boynton (so far!) and I'm looking forward to our next visit.

Went there only b/c I was in the area visiting someone at Bethesda Hospital. I really cannot figure out what makes this place so busy and attractive to diners. It is expensive (I dine often in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale, and their fish entrees are priced higher than restaurants in those communities). PRESENTATION: lacked swag. SERVICE: fair to poor (busboy did not bring peppermill and was asked twice, did not replace forks and knives when taking dishes away, had to wait for it when waitress brought food - she should have checked HER table to be sure we had them!. Bread basket never refilled. and the fish was just ok. So again, why were all the tables occupied mid week at 6pm? Are there no other fish restaurants around? Skip this one, or just prepare yourself for mediocrity... And its dark and dingy inside...needs a refreshening...

Stopped for Sunday brunch and were delighted to find such a charming restaurant on the water. The entrance has benches in a garden with a fountain and flowers, so pretty. We sat on the patio outside overlooking the water. Service was great but I can only give 2 stars because the quality of the food was disappointing. First off, most restaurants serving brunch nowadays have options for the health conscious such as whole wheat toast, oatmeal and egg white omelets. Not here. We started with the beignets. I've had better... the batter could have been fluffier and more moist. You do get 6-7 mini beignets to share, served with a sweet coconut flavored dipping sauce. You really do need the sauce to add some flavor to the beignets, which should be good just dusted with some powdered sugar. Maybe leave those to the French... The spinach and cheese omelet was good. When asked if I could substitute cheddar with feta cheese, they didn't have feta. Feta would have been the more obvious choice and a better pairing with spinach and tomato, in my opinion. Their other cheese pairings on the menu also seemed slightly off. Pecorino Romano in a seafood omelet??? Such a strong flavored smokey salty cheese will overpower the delicate scallops. Don't order the french toast. The brioche was sort of dry and seemed several days old. Rather than soaking the bread and giving it that nice moistness in the center and then pan sauteing it, they opted to deep fry it, making it greasy. The french toast is then topped with caramelized bananas and chopped nuts drenched in sticky sweet syrup. Advice to the owner/ chef! Soak the brioche in buttermilk, ditch the deep fryer and the heavy syrup. A sprinkle of powdered sugar and lightly caramelized and brandied bananas is all you need. Another note to the owner. Offer egg white substitutions and whole wheat options, maybe some oatmeal.

Ambiance is good, service is good, food is catered to the senior taste buds...steak was under seasoned, salad was bland. When I sent it back, I was told "that's how it's made...look at our clientele" it's way too overpriced for an under seasoned experience.

My family loves this restaurant, but I was not impressed. It took us an hour plus to get our stone crab appetizer, and that was very good. Our waitress was very rude to me which really rubbed me the wrong way. I asked her what was in the rock shrimp fried rice which in turn elicited a rude snarl and the comment "haven't you ever eaten fried rice before?" Yes, I have, thanks. I will not be returning. The food was only ok.

Last minute decision to head here for Father's Day. I called at 10:45am to make a reservation (which I figured wouldn't happen) but the woman that answered the phone said "oh no, we are so busy I am not taking any more reservations" (quite rudely) Since she did say they opened at 4:30 I said we would be there then and she said that we probably wouldn't have a problem being sat. I have to say that was the only negative thing I have to say about our experience. We ended up eating at the bar anyway and even when we left at 6pm there were still PLENTY of tables available. We thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING that we had, from the escargot and baked clams...to the salads and entrees. The sweet potato grouper was amazing and the macadamia crusted snapper was tasty! We were too full to have dessert but brought it home to enjoy later. The new carrot/zucchini cake was delish as was the key lime pie! For a special night out I recommend this place. And if you sit at the bar... Michael is a great bartender who was very attentive and personable. Thanks for helping make Father's Day special for my love :)

Decided to celebrate my B-day, and my mother's 88th birthday on Sunday evening. I ordered their sweet potato crusted black grouper one of their so called signature dishes. It was over cooked and the onion topping was burnt. What a wonderful after-taste in my mouth. Mom had a 1 1/2 boiled Maine lobster. When she managed to cut or rather break open the body, the tail meat looked and tasted rancid. Perhaps the airplane it was shipped in was delayed on the tarmac for 24 hours. The waitress had the audacity to argue with her that the tail meat was okay to eat. Needless to say, this restaurant is definitely no longer in it's prime. In fact the dining room appeared to be quite empty for a Sunday evening at 7:00 pm, and I too will not be returning there again.

Very poor management. Had lunch 10/27 at 1:30. VERY Slow service and very unresponsive wait staff (15-20 minutes for glass of wine). Manager offered every excuse for reasons for problem, even suggesting it was our fault for having moved tables very early on at lunch. Not a professional way to handle a legitimate complaint, and frankly, manager seemed to care less. Not even "I'm sorry for the delay"'was offered. Lunch ultimately turned into 2 hours!!

Been here a couple times. The place is a little dated with a lot of seniors around and about. I gotta hit this place on one of my patient days. The outdoor seating is a little bit of a let down and quite boring. Two Georges, Banana Boat and Key Lime House much better for all around intercoastal experience with music and boat watching...

Just ate here. Delicious seafood. They have something called a summer menu where regular priced items are much cheaper which was very nice

My 75 yr old dad would have loved this place. Portions are hearty for the price, and the quality of the fish was very good. Grilled Mahi Mahi and shrimp were fine - not Jean George standards - but this is typical Florida scene.

Good food. A little pricey. Nice for a celebration or a nice night out. Lobster is great when they have them. Steaks are limited but good. Creme Brulee is yummy.

Just okay and definitely overpriced. Been there before and went back because I remember really liking the food. This time though, with the exception of the shrimp scampi which was very good, everything was just meh. The bread tasted at least a couple of days old. It came out warm but I realized it was just reheated as I ate it. Very dry on the inside, like it was microwaved just before it came out. The salad and dressing were your standard fare. Nothing to write home about. Now for service. Our waitress was extremely nice and very sweet. She even helped my grandfather's gal take the meat out of the lobster. But overall, the service was rather inattentive. I didn't have a set up when I sat down. I had to ask for it. The set up came with one fork and by the time my salad was done and taken away, I had to ask for a new fork. My grandfather's gal's set up didn't have a knife. I had to request the bread. It was like I had to guide them through their service because no one was noticing what we were missing at the table. And there were no real apologies about it either, just an "Oh yeah, sure, I'll get you one." Moving on...The lemons I requested for our waters, well one had already been squeezed and used. Gross. Clearing the table meant half clearing the table. Little things, like the dressings for the salad, were left there. If we're going to spend $20+ for an entree, I'd like to feel as if I'm being taken care of. There's a real lack of "know-how" here. So by the time you leave, you kind of feel ripped off. I'm pretty sure I won't be going back.

Over rated and too pricey for the food you get. And the food was not very good. So disappointed.

In reading some of the recent reviews I nearly avoided this treasure completely. However, both my wife and I were completely taken back by how great this restaurant is. From the moment we arrived we were both greeted by warm receptive folks and waited roughly 10 mins to be seated for our 8:30 reservations. Our table overlooked the water and it was a pleasant night a little chilly which caused Prime to have their heaters out that made the patio even more delightful. Our waitress Erica G was very receptive and informative, she is a wonderful asset to this restaurant. My wife ordered the French Onion soup and I ordered the Escargots Bourguignonne for appetizers, and my wife commented it was the best French Onion soup she had ever tasted, my escargot were wonderful as you could taste the garlic and cognac. For our main courses my wife ordered the Gulfstream Swordfish which was blackened, her fish was prepared with an excellent hand at the spices and accompanied with green beans and rice. I ordered the Bouillabaisse this dish was great, it had a great blend of both saffron and fennel along with lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, and fish. It was served with a two large pieces of crustini bread. If you're going to spend this type of money on dinner, Prime Catch should be on your list of options. I'll most definitely be heading to this restaurant again when I'm in Boynton Beach again.

Food = 3 stars. Location + atmosphere = 4 stars. End result = 3.5 stars. Really, Prime Catch should be called Prime Location. It's perfectly situated on the intercoastal waterway, and they've built the restaurant to take advantage of these nice views. It's two-stories, the top open to the floor below, with huge picture windows. Watching the waterway is relaxing and enjoyable -- especially when $500,000 cigarette boats go whizzing by. It's a beautiful restaurant inside and out. The food is good. Full disclosure: we were here for a wedding reception, so the food was slightly different than you'd normally find on the menu. But the finger foods served before lunch were quite good: a variety of simply grilled veggies, open-faced finger sandwiches of blue cheese walnut spread with grapes, an assortment of fine cheeses, seafood deviled eggs. Everything was really interesting and tasted like it was prepared with thought. Lunch itself wasn't all that memorable -- simply served seafood with typical sides like steamed veggies and pilaf, grilled steaks with baked potatoes. Not all that exciting, but nothing to complain about either. The appetizers and finger foods totally made up for the lackluster lunch, tho. Not to mention the location of this place. Did I mention it's a beautiful restaurant in an awesome location???

Awful, have been there several times because a neighbor likes the food and sevice. The second floor is very loud. We were a party of 6 and placed at a table for 4. Our wait staff was inexperienced and brought out entries before the salad and appertises were finished. The calamari was over cooked, wedge salad was very good. Corn and shrimp chowder was cood and not very impressive. I ordered steemed clames, one dozen, had three empty shells. two ordered fish and chips, the fish was fine but fries were cold and had to ask for hot order. The last three times with the same results, won't go back suggest Hurricane Ally for fresh fish.

I just tried Prime Catch this evening and I'm trying to figure out what all the whining is about here. It was good and I'd go back. Was it perfect or top-notch? No. Was it very good and good enough to go back again? Yes. Father's Day so it was busy. I had stuffed shrimp. I will say that there were only 3 and for the price, there could have been at least one more. But then again, if you include the salad and side dishes, I don't know if I could have eaten another one anyway. Just for the price, they could have included 1 or 2 more. But the taste and cooking was one of the best stuffed shrimps I've ever had. Both my dinner companions had the shrimp scampi over pasta which they both said was excellent. In their case, 5 large shrimp (too much to finish). Service was good, but at times ... it took a long time for the waitress to come back (after leaving the check, e.g.). But the service was attentive, water was refilled without asking, another glass of wine was offered, etc. It is pricey, but the food was very good and it would be worth going back to.

I went there several times over the years . I drove down from Atlantic ave in delray leaving the great restaurants . Great location . I requested to be seated outside facing the intercostal . My family all ordered a different fish dish as it is a seafood place . I will not go into detail but all of are fish meals were mostly overcooked and dry, my son ordered the lobster meal and he liked it . I had fresher fish at a dinner in Philly and a lot less expensive . the place really needs a restaurant makeover.I go down to Florida at least 8 times a year , I would not waste one of my nights and eat there .

Disclaimer: We've dined at Prime Catch many times and thoroughly enjoyed it. This review relates only to our experience on Christmas Day 2010. I'm posting so others can take this into consideration when planning a holiday meal here. We made reservations for 6:15 pm on Christmas Day for a party of 6. We arrived around 6:05 and were informed that they were running 15-25 minutes behind. A delay is completely understandable, given how busy they were and that it was a holiday, however, the hostess, a middle-aged woman, was completely unapologetic. As we waited for our table, I watched this woman dealing with arriving guest after arriving guest and she was apologetic to no one. To many patrons (not us), she was absolutely sarcastic. Why they would put this woman in a hostess position is just beyond me. About 7:40 we were seated at a lovely table upstairs next to the wine room (this was my first time to eat upstairs). Our waiter, Christian, was friendly and attentive. All of the food was excellent, absolutely no complaints! I'm just left with that "we don't care if you eat here or go somewhere else" attitude that the hostess was giving every one. I will absolutely think twice before eating here on a holiday again.

Great service & ambiance, bland food. I think they purposely prepare their food relatively bland due to the preponderance of seniors who patronize the place. Looks like a sea of white & gray hairs.

Went on a slow Sunday night in December. Short synopsis was that food was good, service "not so much". I had the Caesar salad (thanks for anchovies) and the Mandarin Orange Glazed Mahi with Shrimp Fried Rice and Napa Cabbage Slaw. The fish was wonderful, juicy and not overwhelmed by the sauce. The rice had half a dozen shrimp as well, which was a nice surprise. My wife had the Escargots Bourguignonne for an app and the rib-eye. Both very good. Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. Not the selection we hoped but priced reasonably. A 2007 BR Cohn cab for $38 was a decent deal (if you cant find a BYOB). Would've rated 4 stars cept for the service. We had two servers, the first we may have turned off when we asked to have our wine decanted. Between them they had 4 tables; the service was poor. "Turn-off girl" essentially ignored us the rest of the night. would probably give them a second chance unless I saw the same crew.

Everything written in other reviews is true. The clientele is on the older side, the restaurant is date (probably by design), the food is very good but pricey, the view is very nice, the location is good. My comment to everyone, stop whining. Went there with a party of 12 to celebrate a birthday. Ages ranged from 21 to 85. Sat upstairs with a beautiful view. The service was more than attentive. Water was constantly refilled, hot rolls were plentiful, used dishes were quickly removed and staff was always available. Appetizers came within a reasonable time. The soups was tasty and hot and items from the raw bar were fresh, meaty and cold. Salads were fresh and crisp. The Stilton salad was a little disappointing. We are still looking for the shaved apples and the dressing was delicate and weak. Main courses were served hot with no errors. Lobsters were cooked to perfection, fish was not under cooked or over cooked. The vegetables that came with each meal were skimpy, except for the potato dishes. Desserts and specialty coffees were all good. Bottom line - it is a seafood restaurant on the water in South Florida. The food is good, the prices are on the higher side but not unreasonable. The average family in the area probably cannot afford to go here that is why there are so many seniors. Will I go back with my wife, absolutely.

Prime Catch is one of Boynton's best restaurants by far. It feels much more like Delray or Boca, yet still maintains a nautic/ Old FL charm. Everything was delicious!!! I loved the champagne vinagrette salad dressing. The sea bass was also wonderful. We had one issue, a funny one, the sea bass was not cooked in the middle. We reported the issue to the waiter for no reason other than a fine dining restaurant should know about this sort of issue. The waiter returned telling us the problem was "algumen" and offered no apology, etc. I then proceeded to text chacha what is algumen? The text service answered with a definition that had nothing to do with fish. I showed the manager, who responded by bringing out a dictionary to battle me. The dictionary agreed with me, and she eventually credited dinner. It was very confrontational and should have been handled very differently!!!! I would still return because the food was overall great, and I love the waterfront atmosphere. Hopefully, management will get a clue because this restaurant has everything else going for it.

A truecall gem. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The highest quality meats and freshest seafood. The servers are great and management very customer focused. Put this on your list when in the Boyton area. We come here anytime we make it to the area

We went in for an early dinner, about 6pm on a Saturday without a reservation. Hostess said only thing available was in the lounge which was fine with us. Drinks were good. The menu had a lot of interesting options which made making a decision difficult but the food was all good. I ordered the sweet potato wrapped grouper which came out a little under cooked. The waiter took it back and brought me a fresh piece within just a few minutes that was very good. The staff was efficient and friendly. I will go back. I did notice as we were leaving several tables that sat empty while we were there, so I think it would have been nice to be have given the option of sitting outside instead of in the lounge.

As you will discover in my reviews, I do not hand out stars easily. To impress me is a challenge, to blow me away nearly impossible. In a nutshell, Prime Catch in Boynton Beach is a lovely restaurant to have diner with your grandparents and you will enjoy the food, but it desperately needs a youthful enema for it to survive the long haul. Established in 2004 if I remember the plaque near the front door correctly, Prime Catch has a pristine location on the south west side of the inter coastal waterway on woolbright ave. The outdoor seating is limited to about 20 tables, so grab one if you can and the weather is permitting. As a whole the restaurant is immaculately clean but feels slightly dated - for a reason. Having read other reviews before we went, I expected to find the average patron to be 60+. Wrong. Make it 70. Without question we had the best table in the house; we were seated on the water in a corner as the sun set, 79 degrees with a light breeze and clear skies. My father was beaming. Like a pavlovian dog, he ogled at some of the multi-million dollar homes within view. Seated within 20 feet of us were not one, but three patrons in wheelchairs, one of which appeared to be dead. It's tough to get past the feeling that you are sitting in God's waiting room or that Prime Catch may offer a discount for local assisted living facilities. This restaurant is in desperate need of some youthful flair. Possibly some live music? A happy hour to bring in some younger patrons? Maybe a total re-marketing of the restaurant. I don't have the answers, only some suggestions. They have over a hundred feet of dock that appears to be unused. What a wasted opportunity. On to the food. The place is a bargain. We started with garlic mussels and salads. No real complaints here. The wine and garlic were a bit heavy handed and could have used a few extra minutes reducing in the pan and an additional pinch of salt, but overall were quite succulent and a generous portion. I had a Stilton salad with julienned green apple and candied walnuts - outstanding. My wife had their alleged "homemade" Caesar salad. Just in case the chef is reading---Hello! McFly! There is no dairy in Ceasar salad dressing! A reminder: extra virgin olive oil, raw egg yolk (use pasteurized eggs if you're scared), lemon juice, anchovy, garlic, Parmesan, dijon mustard, cracked black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and sea salt. No dairy! I concede - their version was tasty, but it wasn't Ceasar salad - more like cream of Parmesan. There is a specials menu right now with a bevy of lobster dishes including a 3lb baby for only $40. I refuse to tell you how much a three pound lobster is at Chops in Boca Raton for fear that someone will think I'm rich and kidnap me. Anyway, we were speaking of Lobster- there are two ways to cook it: perfectly or not at all. They decided to do it right, and what a value it was. Three of us had the 1 1/4 pound lobsters. I'm the black sheep; I opted for frogs legs Provençal. Everything was cooked perfectly. The lobsters were spot-on and the frogs legs absolutely delicious- tender without even the slightest hint of fishiness. They did serve an absurdly generous pile of fresh green beans with my frogs legs that had been boiled, not blanched, in salt water. A more gentle hand would have been appreciated, but it wasn't enough of a flop to detract from everything else. I can't comment on desert as we didn't have any, but I wished they served espresso or cappuccino - get with the times folks! Only regular coffee available here. As for the bar, the drinks were perfect- generous and well-mixed. (I'll bet they make a killer Old Fashioned- LOL). The waitstaff was attentive and friendly- they are used to catering to a geriatric crowd so patience is a must. Overall it was a nice evening. When the check arrived I smiled. $125 for four people, three eating lobster, drinks and appetizers. I hate the word cheap - but it was. Would I bring a date to Prime Catch? Not unless she was recently granted her second divorce or was celebrating the birth of a grandchild. Nothing about the place is even remotely youthful. Ted Knight's character from Caddyshack would have loved this place. Even Arturo's in Boca Raton manages a healthy mix of young and old patrons which keeps the place a bit more vibrant. Prime Catch needs to start thinking ahead before their regulars all die off and their ashes are spread in the water behind the restaurant. There are many restaurants in South Florida with a scenic view and an good food. Was I impressed overall? Sure. Would I come back? Probably, but it would only be with my parents. Atmosphere is just as important as a great meal and one can make or break the other. If Prime Catch can find a way to infuse some youthful blood they would have a winner. It just doesn't seem that they want to - at least not right now.

We dined on Christmas Eve, 12/24/2010. We were excited to try a different seafood restraurant in Florida as our parents live in Delray Beach and we were visiting from Oklahoma (although we are true culinarians and originally from Brooklyn and Toms River NJ). In short order- it was fantastic! Our server, Theresa, was terrifically attentive. It was such a delight to learn that she has lived, and worked all over the US, including Kapaa Kauai where we vacation every year. Fish reigns king there annd her knowledge was impressive! BOttom line- mussels, shrimp and lobster bake are the way to go. Avoid the steak. Waaaaay over done. But thats what Okies do well. And why we visit great fish restaurants in Florida.

The food is fairly good... it's just not worth the cost. A smallish piece of grouper is just not worth $26.00 ... in addition to another $5.00 charge for a 2nd side dish.. (you only get one with the entree). Lots other restaurants in the area put out similar or better product.. and do not charge as much.

Recently in W Palm Beach and went to friend's favorite *special night out* place. This place is really great if you like seafood. We are in our 35-40 age group and we were youngsters here, I guess 'cause most people can't afford it very often ($200 for dinner for 3, two of us were drinking). Also the median age in Florida is 80, I think. They had an amazing potato side dish: Potato Parmesan Pave - get it or you'll regret it. It's thin layers of potates and cheese, like lasagna- total heart attack on a plate but worth the risk. My friend had the sweet potato crusted grouper, excellent but too sweet for my taste. I had pepper seared Ahi, again excellent. My friend's husband had swordfish with mango-chili glaze, it was cooked to perfection. Good selection of wines by the glass, and great port selection. Dessert was Key Lime Pie, of course, and it was outstanding. Service was medium- just good -- you're not getting in without a reservation -- even with one we had a wait so get your name in early. There's a cute spot out the front door and around the corner where you can sit right on the water while you wait. It made the wait go quickly, check it out.

One of our favorite restaurants. Never had a bad meal there. We have been there several times and always great food and service. So many delicious items, I get something different each time. There is outdoor seating too, which is nice when the weather's good. We usually sit inside, though, since it's usually hot. There is also an upstairs with a killer view, great for watching the sunset. Love this place!

After another visit to Prime Catch I knew I had to revise my previous review. I must have been having a bad day or something, because I've completely changed my mind about Prime Catch. We came for dinner this time, not for lunch, and the food was excellent. I had Chilean sea bass on a shrimp cake in sweet corn chowder and it was delicious. like for real delicious. Everyone at the table loved their dishes and they all looked beautiful. So here is the deal. The food is very good and it is worth coming to Prime Catch, even if you don't get a table outside. I wasn't as impressed with my lunch experience at Prime Catch, but dinner was wonderful. I stand corrected.

They used to be a favorite of mine. Then, recently, we reserved a table by the water, for dinner to bring an out of town guest. When we arrived they took us outside and as we walked towards the reserved table by the water the waitress told us that wasn't our table, we were up beside the wall. We explained that we had a reservation for the table by the water and she said, "Wrong. That's a table by the railing, you don't have that." Long story short - we spoke with just about everyone there and got nowhere. We were told to get that table we had to specifically say, "a table by the railing." Now, when we called to reserve, two weeks ahead, no one explained that, or asked did we want to sit by the railing or would anywhere outside be ok? They made the night's meal and the evening a complete loss. They were always just short of rude, which only comes with practice, and just before we left, the manager came by to gives his card with "By the railing" written on it so we'd know the next time. Talk about nerve. I shredded it in front of him and we left. Never again for us!

OK, the food might be good, albeit overpriced, but I have never experienced such indifferent, uncaring service in my life. From the hostess on my second try to the bartender on my first. If you would like a similar waterfront dining vibe, try Deck 84 on Atlantic Ave, before the bridge, in Delray Beach.

Beautiful outside dining on the Intracoastal. Nice variety of fresh seafood. Creative chef specials like The Lazy Man Lobster which is already cracked out of the shell. You can also get any fish grilled or blackened. It's not inexpensive but worth the price.

I really found the food here to be bland. the place was packed and hard to get a reservation at. I just don't get it because although this was my second time here, I just didn't think it was all that good. Even my dirty martini seemed watered down.

Just left there for a birthday meal. Service was extremely slow. We were seated 35 minutes before our order was taken. People who came in after us were eating salads and we hadn't even put in our order yet. The patron margarita was good, when I finally got it. I ordered the mixed grilled with scallops, lobster, and shrimp. The shrimp were good, but the lobster was overcooked and very dry. I guess they were short on butter sauce, because noone got any with their meal. We had to ask for water, and waited fifteen minutes for that. We came last year and I ordered the bouillabaisse. It was very good. This time was blah. The bread was very good, maybe because we were at the table starving.

Went to Prime Catch Restaurant located at 700 E. Woolbright Road Boynton Beach Florida 33435 and we ordered the 3 Pound Lobsters for $42.00 each mine had Lump Crab Meat Stuffing. The normal price in the area is $69.00 for a 3 Pound Lobster. When the Lobster arrived we both started off with the Claws. The Claws were tender. But when we went to eat the tail meat it was tough. My Lobster also had a very strange taste. I woke up about 4:00 AM in the morning with bad Abdominal Cramps and Diarrhea. I had nothing to eat all day and since this was my first meal of the day at 5:00 PM I knew this was the cause of my illness. I am in good health and waiting all day to eat has never been a problem since I new ahead of time I was going to eat a 3 Pound huge Lobster. Just in case someone thinks waiting got me sick that is not true, what about Yom Kippur the Jewish holiday where people fast for 24 hours, they all do not get sick 4:00 AM in the Morning! The Restaurant did NOT offer to help me with this matter even when I told them I would contact the Department of Hotels and Restaurants and file a complaint which I just did. . A lot of older people go to this Restaurant and if they had what I had they could have had to go to the Hospital. The Manager was very nasty and refused to work even a penny of good will out to try and make this horrible experience up. An honest Restaurant would have worked something out. Stay away from this Restaurant they do not care about their customers well being. UPDATE: The State of Florida Department of Business And Professional Regulation Division of Hotels and Restaurants Food service Inspection Report just came in. It verified this is a bad Restaurant that caused my illness. Violations by Prime Catch: License Number: 6019205 09-04-1: Observed bare hand contact of ready-to-eat food by employees and establishment has no approved Alternative Operating Procedure in effect. Observed employee cleaning cooked Lobster with bare hands. 03A-07-1: Observed potentially hazardous, cold food held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Had dinner there tonight and was it was extremely good. I had the Sweet Potato Encrusted Grouper and my husband had the crab legs. Reservations at 7:15 we were seated promptly at 7:15. The place was packed so that is a indication to me that it is a very good restaurant. I was amazed at the prices very reasonable. We have been used to paying $65 for a pound of King Crab legs. They are $20 1/2 lb. Dinner included our entrees, upgrade to Caesar Salad, three cocktails and dessert for $106. Our server Bond was excellent. For those of you that gave a bad review you might want to try this place again. It is well worth the money. We will continue to go there. Although I enjoy going to Deck 84 it is way to noisy and I prefer not to dine with dogs. Try Prime Catch I don't think you will be sorry.

Delightful staff and superior seafood make the Prime Catch well worth the wait it takes to get a table. The matre d' was a fantastic woman that juggled a gaggle of walk-ins with her regulars like a master conductor. The outdoor dining area is great if you can get a seat as it over looks the water. The wine selection is OK, and the bread basket doesn't contain any reheated rolls that suspiciously look like Wonder bread. I suggest ordering the lobster as it is fresh and delicious. Don't pass on the bib cos' you're never too old to wear one.

Owner/manager, please take note....your greeting hostesses were so unfiendly my husband and I almost left your establishment last evening! If it were not for numerous recommendations for the good food we would have. After being told we were too early for our reservations, we were directed to the bar to wait. While waiting we met another couple who did not have reservations and told to eat at the bar. As they were ordering their meal, one of the hostesses came to tell them there was a table available, by-passing us altogether! What? Wonderful food aside, I think we will NOT return, as even our waitress (dined on the deck) was a "stick in the mud". Too bad.

Main lobster was good but less meat in claws seemed like it had been held in tank for awhile. Side green beans were fresh and cooked al dente with spice just right. Ceaser salad upgrade included anchovies, excllent outdoor ambience with Romantic lighting and view with breeze on waterway.

When we fly in to visit the relatives we always dine here. Long waits for tables but well worth it. One of the happening spots known to all of Boynton Beach. Ive tried all the non Fish dishes and highly recommend them all. Everyone with me says the Seafood is perfect and moist. Ah the deserts are to die for and served so artsy that you don't wanna mess it up with a fork.

Please keep in mind I dine in NYC which is absurdly expensive. This place is Amazing! Had the asian spring roll and was the perfect amount of crispiness and had just the right amount of filling, did not flake like overcooked ones do and did not sag like undercooked ones do. The fried calamari was very supple and wonderfully breaded - served with whatever sauce you wish. Had the grouper which was glazed and cooked to a soft perfection although I don't really care for grouper. The yellow snapper was as soft as butter and both were very clean and allow you to experience the flavor without the taste of the sea. Had the chocolate caramel creme brulee which if you love chocolate will change your mind about creme brulees entirely as a dessert of choice. The chocolate mousse truffle was very good but nothing different than any fine dining chocolate mousse truffle dessert. Just amazing service and one of the best mojitos on the planet. Prices are to be expected but are slightly less considering quality.

Been here a few times when I come to visit. The people that come here to tend to be 60+ (but it's FL!). The staff is always really nice and they have valet parking. You can sit right on the canal and they will open the windows when it's nice out. We always sit outside and at night it's quite lovely. The food is hit or miss. One time I had bouillabaisse and it was great. Last time we had lobster "pot pie" and salmon salad. The salad greens tasted dirty. The lobster "pot pie" was made with puff pastry (not puffy) and it really didn't have much taste.

Spent New Year's Eve dinner here with family while down here on vacation. Prime Catch is a nice place, right on the Del Ray harbor and the ambiance is very relaxing - reminiscent of an old cruise liner or New English coastal inn. We had a special menu which I'm told was not as extensive as the standard dinner menu. I had the prosciutto wrapped scallops atop mushroom risotto which was excellent, though a little too rich! The crab and sherry soup is really good, definitely try a cup. The only real problem here are the desserts - we had Key Lime pie which had almost no flavor, and way too much whip cream. I might come back again if in town, but its a little pricey for the quality. It was very good, but not great.

Great seafood and ambiance. The food was outstanding but the service just a bit lacking. Had to ask a couple times for some more bread and had informed the waitress that it was my wife birthday. The only thing we received was a happy birthday wish from the waitress when we left. This isn't an inexpensive place and they force you to use their valet parking but the seafood is very fresh and good and the setting quite lovely. In our party of four we enjoyed the Oysters, Salmon, Trout and Tilapia, all cooked perfectly but again the service was just marginal.

Arthur S. complained that he was given a bad lobster at Prime Catch. My wife and I have enjoyed dozens of Maine lobsters at Prime Catch, and we are always amazed by the quality. We often recommend Maine lobster to our guests and they have all been very pleased with this choice. Next, Arthur S. said he was treated badly by the manager when he complained the next day. It's very rare that there's any problem with the food at Prime Catch, but if Arthur S. had mentioned his problem to the waiter, his lobster would have been replaced as soon as possible. He also would have been invited to choose something other than lobster. How can the manager know what happened, if you wait until the next day to voice a complaint?

Observed Crab Meat and Cheese out of temperature. 41B-01-1: Observed sanitizing solution exceeding the maximum concentration allowed. 10-07-01: Observed in-use utensil stored in standing water less than 135 degrees Fahrenheit.

Top notch seafood, elegant casual atmosphere. I love their lightly fried lobster appetizer

Customers average about 75 years old; food is average but it has a nice bar
